The short answer
Revolut Business may suit you better if
- your team needs company cards, expense controls and accounting integrations
- you hold or pay in many currencies: Revolut Business supports up to 30[1]
- you want to hold and trade tokens as a business asset, not only get paid in stablecoins[4]
- your company is registered in a country Revolut Business supports[6] and your industry isn't on its unsupported list[5]
Sentvia may suit you better if
- clients or buyers pay you in USDT or USDC, often in large amounts, and you need fiat you can account for
- you need a named account in UAE dirhams as well as US dollars, euros or pounds sterling
- your business is in a sector Revolut Business doesn't accept, such as second-hand vehicles, precious stones or special purpose vehicles[5], and it is one Sentvia serves
- you are an individual with significant stablecoin holdings rather than a company
- you'd rather work with a specialist team that knows your business than a large platform

Where Revolut Business is the stronger choice
Revolut Business does far more than Sentvia as an everyday account. It holds up to 30 currencies, issues cards, lets you organise accounts by team, location or project, moves money between them automatically and, depending on the plan, syncs team permissions with HR software[1]. It lets a business send and receive stablecoins and buy, hold and sell 279 tokens[4]. Sentvia does none of the card, expense or investment side. If those are what you need, Revolut Business or a similar account is the better tool.
Where Sentvia is built differently
Stablecoin payments as the main event
At Sentvia a stablecoin payment is the starting point, not a side feature. You request a quote, approve it so the rate is locked, and give your payer the address for that conversion. The incoming payment is screened before it is converted, and the fiat settles to your named account with a record of the quote, the rate, the transaction hash and the payout. Our guide on how to accept stablecoin payments walks through it, and larger amounts can go through the OTC desk.
Accounts in your own name, including AED
Sentvia's named IBAN accounts are in your own legal name in USD, EUR, GBP and AED, so payers and your bank see your company as the account holder. AED is the notable difference: Revolut doesn't list local AED account details[2][3], while Sentvia pays out dirhams by UAE local transfer. See USDT to AED for how that corridor works.
Sectors that general business accounts turn away
Revolut says you can't open or hold a Revolut Business account in a range of industries, and that the account can't be used for client funds[5]. Several of those industries are where stablecoin payments are most common. Sentvia works with car dealers, luxury and high-value goods sellers, law firms and corporate service providers, including new holding companies that need an account in their own name. Every client still goes through Sentvia's own checks.
A specialist, not a platform
Revolut is one of the largest financial companies in Europe: more than 750,000 companies use Revolut Business, and over 80 million people use its personal accounts[7]. A service on that scale is built around the app and self-service, and for many businesses that works well.
Sentvia is built the other way round. It is a boutique specialist that works closely with each client. A dedicated onboarding officer learns how your business is paid before the first payment arrives, and after that you have a named contact. When a large or unusual payment needs attention, you deal with people who already know your business.
We can't match Revolut's product range or technology, and this page doesn't pretend to. What we offer instead is attention: a team that knows stablecoin payments in the sectors general accounts are wary of, and takes the time to get each one right.
Using both
The two aren't mutually exclusive. Many businesses keep a general business account for cards, salaries and suppliers, and use Sentvia when a client, buyer or counterparty wants to pay in stablecoins. The fiat lands in a named account in your own name, and from there you can pay your other accounts or approved beneficiaries.

FAQ
Common questions
- Is Sentvia an alternative to Revolut Business?
- For some businesses. Revolut Business is a broad business account with cards, spend controls and up to 30 currencies. Sentvia is built for one job: turning stablecoin payments into fiat in named accounts in your own name, in USD, EUR, GBP and AED, and paying out from them. Businesses that need both often use both.
- Does Revolut Business accept stablecoin payments?
- Yes. Revolut says Revolut Business customers can send and receive stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, and buy, hold and sell 279 tokens. What it does not accept is certain kinds of stablecoin and token business as customers, including exchanges, brokers, dealers and ramp providers, according to its list of unsupported industries.
- Why might Revolut close or refuse a business account?
- Revolut's help centre says you can't open or hold a Revolut Business account if the business works in an unsupported industry. The list includes stablecoin and token exchanges and brokers, second-hand vehicles, precious metals and stone dealers, auctions and fine art, trusts and special purpose vehicles. It also says the account can't be used to hold or move client funds. Only Revolut can say why it acted on a particular account.
- What should a business do if Revolut closes its account?
- Ask Revolut for the reason it can give, the closing date and how any remaining balance will be paid out, and use its complaints process if you disagree. Before applying elsewhere, check the new provider's list of accepted industries against what your business actually does, so the same thing doesn't happen again.
- Does Sentvia issue cards?
- No. Sentvia is for conversions and account payments: stablecoins to and from fiat, named IBAN accounts and payments to approved beneficiaries. If your team needs company cards and spend controls, a business account such as Revolut Business does that and Sentvia does not.
- Can I use Revolut Business and Sentvia together?
- Yes. A common set-up is Revolut Business for day-to-day spending and supplier payments, and Sentvia for stablecoin payments: clients pay in USDT or USDC, Sentvia converts them, and the fiat lands in a named account in your own name, from which you can pay your other accounts.
