## Access

- **Biometric verification** when the account is created.
- **Two-factor authentication** to stop unauthorised access at every step.

## Payments

- **Approval controls** on outgoing payments.
- **Approved beneficiaries.** Third-party payments go only to beneficiaries reviewed by our compliance team.
- **Screening.** Every incoming stablecoin payment is screened before conversion, and monitoring runs in real time on every transaction.

Screening is part of a wider anti-money laundering programme; our guide to [source of funds](https://www.sentvia.com/guides/source-of-funds-stablecoin-payments) explains what we may ask for and why.

## Infrastructure

Network-level safeguards detect, deflect and protect against malicious traffic in real time, and the platform is monitored continuously.

## Funds

Client funds are held within safeguarded banking structures in accordance with applicable regulatory standards. Accounts and IBANs are provided through regulated banking partners. As a payment service provider under the Retail Payment Activities Act, Sentvia is supervised by the Bank of Canada on operational risk and the protection of users' funds, and it is registered with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business, MSB No. C100000474.

## People

Our team brings experience from trading, payments, custodial services and exchange. A designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer is responsible for our anti-money laundering programme.

Our [compliance and regulation](https://www.sentvia.com/compliance) page sets out our registrations and how compliance works day to day.
