# Named IBAN accounts for business

A named IBAN is a business IBAN account issued in your company's own legal name. Sentvia provides named IBANs in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling and UAE dirhams through regulated banking partners, so every payment you send or receive shows your company, not ours, as the account holder.

## Why an IBAN in your company name matters

- **Payers see your company.** Banks check that the beneficiary name matches the account, and a payment to your own name passes that check.
- **Your bank knows where money came from.** Funds arriving from an account in your name are easy for your bank to place.
- **Reconciliation is matching, not detective work.** The statement, the invoice and the ledger all name the same company.
- **Audit questions get one-line answers.** The account holder of record is your company.

Pooled accounts aren't improper, and regulated firms run them under strict rules. The cost is friction at every name check.

## Where it fits with stablecoin settlement

A client or buyer pays in USDT or USDC. We convert at a rate agreed before you commit and pay the fiat into your named account. It works in reverse too: fiat into your named account, stablecoins out. See [FX services](https://www.sentvia.com/fx) for how conversion works. Processing times depend on currency, jurisdiction and bank rails used.

## Paying out

First-party payments go between accounts you own. Third-party payments go to approved beneficiaries: each beneficiary is reviewed once, with supporting documents, and each payment is screened.

## Currencies and rails

Accounts are available in USD, EUR, GBP and AED, and can be held side by side as [multi-currency accounts](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/multi-currency-accounts). Payments move over SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments and local transfers, depending on the currency. See [supported currencies](https://www.sentvia.com/currencies) for the stablecoin corridors into each.

## Opening an account

1. Apply through the onboarding portal and tell us about the payments you expect.
2. Complete business verification. Our [compliance and regulation](https://www.sentvia.com/compliance) page explains what we check.
3. We issue the account in your company's name, in the currencies you need.
4. Add any third-party beneficiaries.

## What a named IBAN is not

- It isn't a Sentvia bank account, because Sentvia isn't a bank.
- It isn't an unconditional payment instruction, because every payment is screened.

FAQ

## Common questions

Can we hold more than one currency?

Yes. You can have named accounts in US dollars, euros, pounds sterling and UAE dirhams, all in your company's name, through one relationship with Sentvia.

Can we pay suppliers from a named IBAN?

Yes. Payments between your own accounts are first-party payments. Payments to suppliers and other third parties go to approved beneficiaries, and each beneficiary is reviewed by our compliance team first.

Does the payer need to do anything differently?

No. They pay it like any other bank account, using the IBAN and your company's name as the beneficiary.
