# Convert USDT to EUR into your company's IBAN

Sentvia converts USDT to euros and pays them over SEPA into an IBAN in your company's own name. You agree the rate before you send, we screen the incoming USDT, and the euros arrive as an ordinary bank transfer that your bank and auditor can place.

## Who it's for

Businesses that are paid in stablecoins and invoice in euros:

- Exporters and suppliers whose customers hold USDT
- [Law firms](https://www.sentvia.com/law-firms) collecting fees from international clients
- [FX and CFD providers](https://www.sentvia.com/fx-cfd-providers) whose clients fund accounts in USDT
- [Luxury car dealers](https://www.sentvia.com/car-dealers) selling to buyers who pay in stablecoins

## How it works

1. **Request a quote.** Tell us the amount of USDT you're converting to EUR.
2. **Lock the rate.** Approve the quote; that's the rate you settle at.
3. **Send the USDT** to the address we give you for that conversion. We screen it on arrival.
4. **Receive euros** over SEPA into your company's [named IBAN account](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/named-iban-accounts).

Paid in EURC? It converts to euros the same way, with no dollar-to-euro step. For large single conversions, use our [Prime OTC desk](https://www.sentvia.com/fx/prime-otc).

## What you receive the euros into

The euros are paid into a named IBAN in your company's own legal name, provided through regulated banking partners. Payers and your bank see your company as the account holder. Banks in the euro area now check the payee's name against the IBAN before a SEPA transfer goes through, so an account in your own name matters more than it used to. You can hold the EUR, pay it on to approved beneficiaries, or keep it alongside other currencies in [multi-currency accounts](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/multi-currency-accounts).

## Settlement timing by stage

Stage

What sets the timing

USDT transfer

The blockchain network; usually minutes

Screening and conversion

Our checks on the incoming USDT, then execution at the rate you locked

EUR payout

SEPA Instant settles in seconds where both banks support it; standard SEPA usually arrives the same business day when instructed within cut-off

Which SEPA scheme is used depends on the amount and the receiving bank. Processing times depend on currency, jurisdiction and bank rails used.

## Before you send

- Check the quote shows the euro amount you expect to receive, not just the rate.
- Send only to the address we give you for that conversion, and only the amount quoted.
- Put the invoice number in the payment details, so the euros reconcile to it on arrival.
- If your counterparty can pay in EURC, ask: it removes the dollar-to-euro step.

## What we'll ask for at onboarding

- Your certificate of incorporation
- Who owns and controls the company
- What the business does and why it receives stablecoins
- Who sends the funds and where they came from

## Compliance on every conversion

- **Screening.** Every incoming USDT payment is screened before it is converted, including where the USDT came from before it reached us.
- **Source of funds.** For larger payments we may ask how the payer came to hold the USDT. Our guide to [source of funds for stablecoin payments](https://www.sentvia.com/guides/source-of-funds-stablecoin-payments) sets out what answers the question.
- **Beneficiaries.** Onward payments to third parties go only to approved beneficiaries, each reviewed by our compliance team.

FAQ

## Common questions

Can we convert USDC or EURC too?

Yes. USDC converts on the same terms as USDT. EURC converts to euros with no dollar-to-euro step.

How long does it take?

Most conversions arrive the same business day when instructed within cut-off. SEPA Instant settles in seconds where both banks support it.

Why don't you publish a rate?

Each conversion is quoted and locked individually, so a published number would be out of date before you used it.

Will our bank see a crypto transaction?

No. The euros arrive as a SEPA transfer from a regulated provider into an account in your own name. If your bank asks, the conversion record sits behind the payment.

Can individuals use this?

Yes. Sentvia also works with high net worth individuals, with the account in your own name and the same onboarding principles, adapted to a person rather than a company.

What about large amounts?

Large conversions go through our Prime OTC desk, quoted and locked as a single trade.
