# Convert USDT to AED for your UAE business

Sentvia converts USDT to UAE dirhams for businesses and pays the AED into an IBAN in your company's own name. You agree the rate before you send, the dirhams arrive by local transfer, and your bank sees an ordinary payment from a regulated provider, not a crypto transaction.

## Who it's for

Businesses that are paid in USDT and need dirhams:

- Property developers and brokers
- Luxury [car dealers](https://www.sentvia.com/car-dealers) and watch dealers
- Trading companies and importers
- Professional firms with UAE clients, such as [law firms](https://www.sentvia.com/law-firms)

Your company is the one being paid, and it never has to hold the USDT.

## How it works

1. **Request a quote.** Tell us the amount of USDT you're converting to AED.
2. **Lock the rate.** Approve the quote; that's the rate you settle at.
3. **Send the USDT** to the address we give you for that conversion. We screen it on arrival.
4. **Receive AED** by local transfer into your company's [named IBAN account](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/named-iban-accounts).

[FX services](https://www.sentvia.com/fx) covers conversion in other currencies and for larger amounts.

## What you receive the dirhams into

The AED is paid into a named IBAN in your company's own legal name, provided through regulated banking partners. To your bank, the payer and your auditor it is an ordinary dirham account belonging to your company. You can leave the AED there, pay it on to approved beneficiaries, or hold it alongside USD, EUR and GBP in [multi-currency accounts](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/multi-currency-accounts).

## Why convert before the money reaches you

- Your company doesn't need to hold the USDT, so there's no custody or accounting question on your side.
- The money arrives as an ordinary AED transfer into an account in your own name.
- The amount, rate and date are on record, which is what your bank or auditor will ask for.

## Settlement timing by stage

Stage

What sets the timing

USDT transfer

The blockchain network; usually minutes

Screening and conversion

Our checks on the incoming USDT, then execution at the rate you locked

AED payout

UAE banking days and local clearing windows; usually the same business day when instructed during UAE banking hours

Weekends and UAE public holidays move the AED leg to the next banking day. Processing times depend on currency, jurisdiction and bank rails used.

## Before you send

- Check the quote shows the AED amount you expect to receive, not just the rate.
- Send only to the address we give you for that conversion, and only the amount quoted.
- Send from a wallet the payer can show they control, so source-of-funds questions have a quick answer.
- Instruct early in the UAE banking day if the dirhams need to land the same day.

## What we'll ask for at onboarding

- Your trade licence or certificate of incorporation
- Who owns and controls the company
- What the business does and why it receives USDT
- Who sends the funds and where the USDT came from

## Compliance on every conversion

- **Screening.** Every incoming USDT payment is screened before it is converted, including where the USDT came from before it reached us.
- **Source of funds.** For larger payments we may ask how the payer came to hold the USDT. Our guide to [source of funds for stablecoin payments](https://www.sentvia.com/guides/source-of-funds-stablecoin-payments) sets out what answers the question.
- **Beneficiaries.** Onward payments to third parties go only to approved beneficiaries, each reviewed by our compliance team.

FAQ

## Common questions

Can we convert USDC to AED too?

Yes, on the same terms as USDT.

How long does it take?

AED usually settles the same business day when the conversion is instructed during UAE banking hours. Timing depends on the receiving bank and its cut-offs.

Can the AED go straight to a supplier?

It's paid into your company's named account. Onward payments to suppliers or other third parties go to approved beneficiaries after compliance review.

Why don't you publish a rate?

Each conversion is quoted and locked individually, so a published number would be out of date before you used it.

Can individuals use this?

Yes. Sentvia also works with high net worth individuals, with the account in your own name and the same onboarding principles, adapted to a person rather than a company.

What will you ask about where the USDT came from?

For larger payments, usually wallet history and documents showing how the payer came to hold the USDT. Our guide to source of funds for stablecoin payments sets out what answers the question.
