# Sentvia vs BVNK: which fits your business?

Looking for a BVNK alternative, or wondering which kind of stablecoin provider you need? BVNK, now part of Mastercard, is infrastructure that other companies build stablecoin products on. Sentvia is a specialist service that settles stablecoin payments into named accounts in your own name. This page compares the two, using BVNK's own published pages for every claim about BVNK.

## Where BVNK is the stronger choice

If you are building a payments product, BVNK offers far more than Sentvia. It gives banks, fintechs and platforms the parts to embed multi-currency accounts, real-time conversion, stablecoin-linked cards and global payouts in their own apps, across 20+ blockchain networks[\[9\]](#source-9). Since August 2026 it has been part of Mastercard[\[8\]](#source-8), and its merchant support runs 24/7[\[5\]](#source-5). Sentvia offers none of the embedding, card or developer side. If those are what you need, BVNK or a similar infrastructure provider is the better tool.

## Where Sentvia is built differently

### A service you use, not infrastructure you build on

BVNK is designed to sit inside other companies' products. Its embedded wallets are integrated into a payment provider's own app, and people who use them are asked to contact that provider about their payments[\[2\]](#source-2). Sentvia is the provider you deal with directly. You request a quote, approve it so the rate is locked, and give your payer the address for that conversion. The incoming payment is screened before it is converted, and the fiat settles to your named account with a record of the quote, the rate, the transaction hash and the payout. Our guide on how to [accept stablecoin payments](https://www.sentvia.com/guides/accept-stablecoin-payments) walks through it, and larger amounts can go through the [OTC desk](https://www.sentvia.com/fx/prime-otc).

### Accounts in your own name, including AED

Sentvia's [named IBAN accounts](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/named-iban-accounts) are in your own legal name in USD, EUR, GBP and AED, so payers and your bank see you as the account holder. BVNK's help centre lists USD, GBP and EUR[\[2\]](#source-2). With Sentvia, a USDT or USDC payment can settle straight into dirhams; see [USDT to AED](https://www.sentvia.com/currencies/usdt-to-aed) for how that corridor works.

## A specialist, not a platform

BVNK works at a very large scale: it is part of Mastercard[\[8\]](#source-8), and the platform it now offers connects to payouts reaching more than 17 billion endpoints through Mastercard Move[\[9\]](#source-9). It also has account managers for its merchants[\[3\]](#source-3). For a platform moving money for millions of users, that scale is the point.

Sentvia is built the other way round. It is a boutique specialist that works closely with each client. A dedicated onboarding officer learns how your business is paid before the first payment arrives, and after that you have a named contact. When a large or unusual payment needs attention, you deal with people who already know your business.

We can't match BVNK's infrastructure or Mastercard's reach, and this page doesn't pretend to. What we offer instead is attention: a team that knows stablecoin payments in the sectors many providers are wary of, and takes the time to get each one right.

## Using both

The two can sit side by side. A business might use a product built on BVNK, through its payment provider, to pay out to its users, and use Sentvia when a client, buyer or counterparty wants to pay it in stablecoins. The fiat lands in a named account in your own name, and from there you can [pay your other accounts or approved beneficiaries](https://www.sentvia.com/platform/payments).

FAQ

## Common questions

Is Sentvia an alternative to BVNK?

It depends on what you need. BVNK is stablecoin infrastructure: banks, fintechs and platforms use it to build stablecoin accounts, payouts and cards into their own products. Sentvia is a service you use directly: a client pays you in USDT or USDC, Sentvia converts it, and the fiat settles to a named account in your own name in USD, EUR, GBP or AED. If you are building a payments product, BVNK is the closer fit. If you want to get paid in stablecoins without building anything, Sentvia is.

Who owns BVNK?

Mastercard. BVNK announced that Mastercard completed its acquisition on 3 August 2026, and in October 2026 the two launched the Mastercard Global Money Platform, which is available through BVNK.

Does BVNK offer AED accounts?

BVNK's help centre lists USD, GBP and EUR alongside stablecoins for its embedded wallets. Sentvia offers a named AED account in your own legal name, alongside USD, EUR and GBP, and stablecoin payments can settle straight into it.

How much does BVNK cost?

BVNK doesn't publish prices; its help centre asks you to contact its sales team for a quote. At Sentvia each conversion is quoted first and the rate is locked when you approve it, so you know the amount before the payment is sent.

Does Sentvia issue cards?

No. Sentvia is for conversions and account payments: stablecoins to and from fiat, named IBAN accounts and payments to approved beneficiaries. Through the Mastercard Global Money Platform, BVNK lets businesses issue stablecoin-linked virtual cards to their own users; Sentvia does not offer cards.

Do I need developers to use Sentvia?

No. You request a quote, approve it, and give your payer the address for that conversion; the fiat settles to your named account. There is no integration to build, and a named contact handles anything unusual.
